Doing it for Gary.
Ben takes home Gary after earning this week's Player of the Game award. Ben's bat shined in one of the Bool's best offensive performances of the season, getting on base four times. However, what stood out to the team this week was Ben's attitude on the diamond. Finding himself involved in a physical play at second, Ben stood his ground, ready to do whatever was necessary for the win. Outsized and outnumbered, Ben didn't flinch - casually walking away while his opponent brought the game to a halt with complaints. Many are calling this the 'Paul Pierce wheelchair' moment of the C League, as the opponent left the field to address his injuries. Some might argue Ben's grit is exactly what the Bool has been missing after its subpar opening to the season. Whether that's true or not, the team walked off the field fired up this week, and finds itself on a two game win streak. It's impact like that which is what Gary is all about.
