Player of the Game
Doing it for Gary.
Today features our first every joint Player of the Game post for Weeks 1 and 2: Week 1: Ben takes home his first Player of the Game Award for the season. Contributing to 6 of the Bool's 7 runs against a strong Mews defense is no easy task. Ben also slotted into the hot corner making difficult plays in the infield look routine. It's always a risk sending Gary home with a new player, but when the team saw how Gary was glowing when we got back, we knew Ben had treated him really well, and that he was a good addition to the team. Week 2: Player of the Game is Andrew "The Bandit" Pontey. Stepping up to play in left field, Pontey made sure the game would be remembered for more than just playing out of position in the field, hitting one out of the park, and making himself the second player to go yard in team history. Leave a pitch out over the plate and The Bandit might take it and send it out to deep right.
